Nepali Congress leader Gagan Kumar Thapa has extended his best wishes on the occasion of the first national convention of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Thapa praised the party for establishing itself as a significant force in national politics within a short period of time, backed by notable public support. He also commended the party’s journey from organizational development to electoral success under its leadership.

“On the occasion of the first national convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you and the entire RSP family. In a short span since its establishment, the party has secured remarkable public support and firmly established itself in national politics. Your journey from building the organization to participating in elections has been commendable,” he wrote.

Thapa further stated that the convention presents a historic opportunity for the party to develop a more mature, responsible, and visionary outlook in terms of ideology, organization, and policy.

He expressed hope that the convention would help the party embrace democratic values and practices more deeply, safeguard constitutional rights, and become more ideologically clear, accountable, and responsive to the public.

“This convention is a historic opportunity for the RSP to build a more mature, responsible, and forward-looking vision. I expect it will provide momentum and energy for the party to internalize democratic values, protect citizens’ constitutional rights, and become more accountable and responsive,” Thapa said.
