Cloudy Skies, Rain and Snow Forecast in Several Provinces

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, a western low-pressure system is currently affecting parts of Nepal.

Due to this system, the weather is cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas, while the rest of the country is partly cloudy.

The department says some Himalayan areas of Gandaki Province, Karnali Province and Sudurpaschim Province may receive moderate rain or snowfall along with thunder and lightning. A few Himalayan areas of Koshi Province, Bagmati Province and Lumbini Province may also see similar weather.

Some hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim may get moderate rain with thunder, lightning and hail. One or two hilly areas in other provinces may experience light rain with thunder. A few places in the Terai region may also see light rain with thunder and lightning.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain cloudy in the hilly and Himalayan areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim, as well as in the Himalayan regions of other provinces. Other hilly and Terai areas will remain partly cloudy.

Light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning is possible in some Himalayan areas of Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim. One or two hilly areas may also receive light rain with thunder and lightning.
