Nepal Oil Corporation has increased the prices of petroleum products.
According to the new rates effective from today, the price of petrol has gone up by Rs 15 per litre, bringing it to Rs 172 per litre. Similarly, the prices of diesel and kerosene have increased by Rs 10 per litre.
After the adjustment, petrol will be sold at Rs 172 per litre in cities such as Kathmandu, Pokhara and Dipayal. Diesel and kerosene will now cost Rs 152 per litre.
The corporation said the price increase was due to the current international situation and rising global fuel prices linked to tensions in West Asia.
