Rallies have begun from various parts of Kathmandu Valley ahead of the Nepali Congress Special Convention, with participants showing support and enthusiasm for the party event.

 

In Lalitpur, a rally led by Omkar Prasad Shrestha started from Kupandol, accompanied by traditional musical bands and cultural performances. Participants wore vibrant costumes and took part in a lively procession.

 

According to the Special Convention Organizing Committee, delegates will hold processions from six locations across Kathmandu as a show of strength ahead of the formal inauguration. The Secretariat confirmed that all routes are prepared to send their rallies toward Bhrikuti Mandap, where the official opening ceremony will take place.

 

The convention’s inauguration is scheduled for 1 PM at Bhrikuti Mandap, following which the closing session will begin on the same day. The Special Convention will continue through Monday.

 

Rallies are planned to depart from Kupandol in Lalitpur, and from Sundhara, Ratnapark, Padmakanya Campus Chowk, Shankardev Campus, and Kamalpokhari in Kathmandu, converging at Bhrikuti Mandap for the main event.
