Nepali Congress Begins Second Special General Convention Today

The Nepali Congress is set to begin its second special general convention today, with the inauguration scheduled for 1 pm at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.

Ahead of the opening ceremony, party leaders and delegates will stage a show of strength by holding rallies from six different locations across Kathmandu and Lalitpur. According to the convention organizing committee, all rallies will begin at 11 am and converge at Bhrikutimandap, after which the formal inauguration will take place.

The rallies will start from Sundhara, Ratnapark, Padmakanya Campus, Shankardev Campus, Kamalpokhari, and Kupondole, bringing together party cadres from various districts and parliamentary constituencies. Following the inauguration, the closed-door session of the special general convention will also begin today.

The convention will continue until Monday. Organizers say a large number of Nepali Congress leaders and cadres from across the country have already arrived in Kathmandu, and all preparations have been completed to ensure the event is held in a peaceful and well-managed manner.
