President Paudel Honors Prithvi Narayan Shah on National Unity Day

President Ram Chandra Paudel paid floral tributes to Nepal’s nation builder Prithvi Narayan Shah at the western gate of Singha Durbar, marking Prithvi Jayanti and National Unity Day, today. A Nepali Army contingent saluted the President during the ceremony.

Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, National Assembly Chair Narayan Prasad Dahal, ministers, senior officials, and dignitaries from various sectors also participated, honoring the unification architect of Nepal.

Prithvi Jayanti, observed every year on Poush 27 (December 11), is celebrated nationwide as National Unity Day.
