Pro-monarchy group to hold rally at Sifal Ground today

The Samyukta Jana Andolan Samiti, led by Nawaraj Subedi, held a protest today (Tuesday) at Sifal Ground in Kathmandu. The group is demanding the return of the monarchy and for Nepal to be declared a Hindu nation once again.

According to a statement issued on Monday evening, the protest started at 2 PM. This rally is part of an ongoing movement that began on May 29, although it was briefly paused on Monday.

Even though the Kathmandu District Administration Office had banned protests in areas like Sifal, Balkhu, and Koteshwar, the organizers went ahead with today’s protest at Sifal despite the restrictions.
