The Cabinet has approved a three-day official visit of President Ram Chandra Paudel to Japan from Magh 18 to 21 to attend events marking the 70th anniversary of Nepal–Japan diplomatic relations, while also deciding to increase the ration allowance for Nepal Police.

President Ram Chandra Paudel is set to visit Japan on Magh 18.
The Cabinet meeting held at Baluwatar on Thursday approved the visit of a delegation led by President Paudel, according to government spokesperson and Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal. He said the President will be on a three-day visit from Magh 18 to 21 to participate in events organized on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and Japan.
The meeting also decided to increase the ration allowance for Nepal Police. Aryal stated, “A decision has been made to increase the ration scale and the daily ration allowance for Nepal Police, effective from 2082-11-01.”
According to him, the revised ration scale and daily allowance will come into effect from Falgun 1.
