Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), said that NCP is a new party when it comes to its ideas and principles.
Speaking at an election program organized by the NCP Salyan Liaison Committee, he said that a party stays important or becomes outdated depending on its ideology, goals, and struggles.
He added that the NCP led the country towards a republic, which he called the newest ideology. The party has also strongly supported the rights of women, Dalits, indigenous groups, Madhesi, Tharu, Muslims, and other marginalized communities. Prachanda challenged other parties claiming to be new to clearly share their ideas and principles.
Party leader Prakash Jwala said the NCP is moving toward socialism by fighting corruption, promoting good governance, creating jobs, and ensuring prosperity.
