PM Karki Urges Unity to Ensure Smooth Election Process

Prime Minister Sushila Karki has called on all sides to act responsibly and stand united to successfully hold the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Following a high-level meeting at Sheetal Niwas on Saturday with President Ram Chandra Paudel and the chiefs of all four security agencies, Prime Minister Karki emphasized the need for collective commitment to ensure a peaceful and credible election.

In a post on X, she stated that preparations for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for Falgun 21 were progressing satisfactorily and that efforts were being accelerated to complete all necessary arrangements.

Karki said the meeting reviewed election preparations, security conditions, and ongoing efforts to create a conducive voting environment. She added that the heads of the security agencies had expressed readiness to manage election security with high morale.

The Prime Minister also mentioned that political-level initiatives and dialogues with parties were underway to build a cooperative atmosphere for the polls.
