CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said he is ready to step down from his leadership position if it serves the nation’s greater interest.
Speaking at a program organized by the All Nepal Trade Union Federation on Saturday, Dahal said the party chairmanship has become a “small matter” for him and that he is willing to make any sacrifice necessary to protect the country.
His remarks come amid growing voices within the Maoist Centre calling for leadership change. Addressing those concerns, Dahal said he is open to restructuring the party leadership and urged others to also be ready to make sacrifices for the nation.
He called on party members to stay united and not be distracted by internal differences, emphasizing that national stability and unity must come before personal or political ambitions.
