Parts of Kathmandu Under Curfew After Arson, Death

In the wake of a volatile situation in parts of the Kathmandu Valley in the wake of the death of a protester in Koteshwor in police action and an incident of arson in Tinkune during the protest and counterprotest of republicans and royalists, the Kathmandu district administration office has imposed a curfew from 4.25 pm till 10 pm at the Baneshwor-Tinkune area.

The no-go area includes the Baneshwor-Tinkune stretch, Gaushala-TIA-Gairidhara-Tinkune-Koteshwor, Koteshwor-Jadibuti Bridge, Koteshwor-Balkumari Bridge stretch, Baneshwor Chowk-Shankhamul Bridge and Gaushala Chowk-Purano Baneshwor-Naya Baneshwor Chowk.
