After completing postmortems, the bodies of victims from the September 8–9 Gen Z protests are now being returned to their families.
According to Dr. Gopal Chaudhary, head of the Forensic Department at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH), a total of 36 bodies were examined. The identities of two women and one man are still being confirmed.
The Ministry of Health and Population stated that 1,872 people were injured during the protests. Spokesperson Dr. Prakash Budhathoki said that 1,465 have been discharged, while 299 remain under treatment in 61 hospitals nationwide.
