Amid rising political concerns, Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged all parties to focus fully on ensuring the March 5 elections take place smoothly.
At an all-party meeting in Baluwatar, she said the Election Commission, security agencies and state bodies are ready for the polls, and called for unity among all 126 registered parties to prevent disruptions.
Karki reminded leaders that the current government exists only to lead the country through the transition after the Gen Z protests, stressing that its sole priority is holding a peaceful and credible election.
She also noted that the violence of September 8–9 is under investigation and cautioned parties to avoid actions that could fuel further instability.
