Dengue infections have been confirmed in 5,378 people across 75 districts of Nepal, according to the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD). The division also reported two dengue-related deaths so far this year.
Dolpa and Manang remain the only districts without any confirmed cases. Dr. Gokarna Dahal, chief of the EDCD’s Vector-Borne Disease Section, said Gandaki Province has recorded the highest number of infections, with 1,333 cases.
Bagmati Province has reported 1,261 cases, followed by Lumbini (941), Koshi (761), Sudurpaschim (645), Karnali (320), and Madhesh (117).
Health experts have urged the public to remain cautious, warning that the risk of dengue transmission is expected to persist until the end of October.
