CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has said the party may need to take to the streets while also preparing for the upcoming elections.

Speaking at the party office in Chyasal on Saturday, Oli made the remarks while welcoming Dipendra Agrawal—former central member of JSP-Nepal and a share investor—into the UML. He said the government seems focused on harassing and humiliating the UML, which could force the party to protest alongside its election preparations.

Oli said the country has reached a decisive moment and urged everyone to stand in favor of protecting the nation. He reiterated that the UML’s main goal is to build a prosperous Nepal and ensure happiness for the Nepali people.

He added that UML is not just another political party but one with a clear direction and purpose. Taking an indirect jab at newly formed parties, Oli said some lack a clear vision and goal.

Speaking after joining the UML, Agrawal said he entered the party to help secure the future of the capital market. He said he has always supported a transparent, safe, and investor-friendly capital market.
