CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has said that the Gen-Z movement must be investigated and those involved in criminal activities during the protests should be held accountable.
Speaking at the opening of the party’s 11th National General Convention in Sallaghari, Bhaktapur, on Saturday, Oli said no one involved in criminal acts should be allowed to evade punishment. He stressed that constitutional crises should be resolved through Parliament, reiterating that the dissolution of the House of Representatives was unconstitutional and wrong.
Oli said sidelining elected representatives weakens democracy and distances citizens from politics, adding that the UML’s clear demand remains the reinstatement of the House and a return to the constitutional and democratic path.
