Starting Shrawan 1 (July 17), the Ministry of Urban Development is set to fully implement the Government Integrated Office Management System (GIOMS), marking a major step toward a digital, paperless office environment. With this new system in place, all official work and documentation within the ministry will be handled electronically, putting an end to the traditional paper-based process.

According to Secretary Gopal Prasad Sigdel, the new system will help make government work faster, more transparent, and less dependent on physical paperwork. He believes it will significantly reduce delays and unnecessary administrative hassles.

In addition to going paperless, the ministry has also decided to recall vehicles that are being used unofficially. Government cars taken by former secretaries and senior officials after their transfer from the ministry will be brought back into official use.

These steps are part of a broader effort to modernize and improve the efficiency of government services.
