The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose by 29.87 points on Monday, reaching 2,727.91 points, a 1.10% increase. The total turnover was over Rs 10 billion, amounting to Rs 10.49 billion.

Out of 302 listed companies, 166 saw gains, 74 declined, and 4 remained unchanged. A total of 102,861 shares were traded. Eight companies hit their upper circuit limit, while Saptakoshi Development Bank hit its lower limit.

Among the 13 sectors, Finance, Hydro, and Trading dropped. The Finance sector fell by 0.84%, Hydro by 0.15%, and Trading by 1.27%.

The Other sector had the biggest gain at 2.47%, while the Investment sector had the smallest increase at 0.20%.

Sectors that rose included Commercial Banks (2.16%), Development Banks (0.33%), Hotel & Tourism (2.29%), Life Insurance (0.89%), Production & Processing (0.77%), Microfinance (2.45%), Mutual Funds (0.52%), and Non-Life Insurance (1.07%).
