Rain, Thunderstorms and Snowfall Likely in Parts of Nepal Today

A western low-pressure system, along with local and easterly winds, is influencing Nepal's weather.

Partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected in the Himalayan and hilly regions, especially in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely in several places of these provinces, with moderate to heavy rainfall possible in some areas.

The Terai region of Koshi and a few places in Madhes Province may also receive rainfall. Light to moderate snowfall is possible in some high-altitude Himalayan areas.

Meanwhile, hot daytime conditions may persist in parts of the Terai districts of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, partly cloudy skies are expected in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Some hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi may receive moderate rain with thunder and lightning, while isolated places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces could see light rain and snowfall.
