Nepali Congress to Hold Key Central Committee Meeting Today

The Nepali Congress (NC) is holding a meeting of its Central Work Execution Committee today.
The meeting is scheduled for Friday at 3 pm, as internal talks on the party’s general convention have reached a crucial point.

This comes after General Secretaries Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma announced that the regular General Convention would be postponed and suggested holding a special general convention instead.

Following this announcement, party President Sher Bahadur Deuba held discussions on Thursday afternoon with Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka, senior leaders Shekhar Koirala, Minendra Rijal, Ramesh Lekhak, and other leaders.
