MFD Warns of Haze Impacting Health and Traffic in Terai

The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) said that the country is still under the partial influence of western winds.

This afternoon, most parts of the Terai will remain hazy and foggy, and many areas are already covered in haze. Hilly and mountainous regions will be mostly cloudy, while other areas will see partly cloudy weather.

There is a chance of light rain in a few hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces. Some higher hilly and mountainous areas may also receive light snowfall.

Tonight, the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces will be partly cloudy, while the weather in most other places will remain clear.

There is also a possibility of light snowfall in one or two places in the higher hills and mountains of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Haze is expected to continue in some parts of the Terai. The MFD has warned that this haze may affect daily life, health, and road traffic.

The division has advised people to take precautions and follow daily weather updates.
