The meeting included Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Anil Kumar Sinha, Qatari Ambassador to Nepal Mishal M. Al Ansari, FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Qatari business leaders, and representatives from Qatar Airways.

They discussed expanding direct flights, civil aviation cooperation, and the possibility of closer collaboration between Nepal Airlines and Qatar Airways, including adding new destinations.

Minister Sinha said that more international airlines are needed to fully utilize Pokhara International Airport and Gautam Buddha International Airport. He highlighted Qatar Airways’ potential role and assured that the government is ready to support international carriers through policy reforms and other facilitation.

FNCCI President Dhakal pointed out opportunities for Nepal-Qatar cooperation in tourism, investment, aviation, hospitality, and infrastructure. He also invited Qatari investors to explore opportunities in Nepal’s agriculture, hydropower, and service sectors.

The Qatari business delegation arrived in Nepal on Sunday, invited by the Nepal–Qatar Joint Business Council.
