The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has asked the public to buy LPG gas cylinders only when they really need them and avoid storing extra cylinders at home.

NOC has also requested gas industries and sellers to give priority to supplying LPG for household use.

In a press release issued on Saturday, the corporation said that although the ongoing conflict in West Asia has affected the global supply of petroleum products and LPG, Nepal is still continuing regular supply and distribution.

NOC has directed all gas industries across the country to send daily reports by 10 am. These reports must include details of how much gas was sold, as well as the addresses and contact numbers of the sellers.

Gas sellers have also been asked to keep records of the names and contact numbers of customers and the amount of gas sold to them. This information must be shared with NOC through the gas industries every day.

Meanwhile, considering the current situation, NOC has arranged for gas industries to produce and sell 7.1-kg LPG cylinders at a reduced price of Rs 955 per cylinder. This price has been effective since Friday and will remain until further notice.
