Swiss coach Guglielmo Arena has been named the new head coach of Nepal’s national football team, pledging to strengthen the squad and aim for victory in the SAFF Championship while leading the team until 2026.

Guglielmo Arena of Switzerland has been appointed as the head coach of the Nepal national football team.
Speaking at a “Meet and Greet” program held at the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Complex in Satdobato after his appointment, Arena said he was very happy to take on the role of head coach of the Nepali national team.
He stated, “I am extremely happy to be appointed as the head coach of the Nepal national team. My goal is to help the team win the SAFF Championship. I will be responsible for the team until 2026 and will move forward without repeating past mistakes.”
Arena also said Nepali players are highly talented and expressed confidence that his training would help them become even better.
He added that his priority would be to improve the team strategically.
Arena received his official appointment letter on Thursday from ANFA General Secretary Kiran Rai at the ANFA Complex in Satdobato.
