Vehicular movement will be brought to a halt at night on the Daunne section of the Narayanghat–Butwal road until the 31st of Baisakh (mid-May) for road expansion work.

Earlier, vehicles were not allowed from 11 PM to 5 AM due to ongoing construction. Now, this restriction has been extended for 16 more days starting from April 29.

According to Bhavishwor Pandey, Chief District Officer of Bardaghat Susta East (Nawalparasi), construction work in the Daunne area will continue, and vehicles will not be allowed to pass during night hours for 6 hours each night.

Rock cutting on the hill side of the road remains to be done. Authorities want to finish this work before the rainy season, so they have decided to stop night-time traffic for a few more days.

Passengers and drivers have been facing difficulties because of this. According to Shiva Khanal, an engineer and information officer for the eastern section, work like cutting hills, building retaining walls and constructing culverts is currently in progress in  Daunne.
