Ammar Bahadur Thapa, a Member of Parliament from the CPN (Unified Socialist) party, tore the budget book during Thursday’s session of the Federal Parliament.
Thapa expressed strong dissatisfaction with the upcoming fiscal year’s budget, claiming it was moving in the wrong direction. He specifically criticized the budget allocated to the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure, saying it failed to address the needs of the people, not just in Dailekh, his home district, but in many other areas as well.
He stated, “The budget has not fulfilled its responsibility toward the people, even though it comes from the taxes they pay. I did not like it. I took permission and tore it. Thank you.”
