Monarchy Supporters Hold Rally in Kathmandu

Today, supporters of the monarchy gathered in Kathmandu to demand the return of the king and the declaration of Nepal as a Hindu Kingdom. People of all ages joined the protest, waving Nepal’s national flag and chanting slogans in favor of the former royal family.

Many protestors said they were unhappy with the current political system. They blamed the leaders for corruption, rising prices, and poor development. They believe that life was better when Nepal had a king, and they want to bring back the monarchy to restore peace and unity in the country.

The protest was peaceful, but police were fully prepared. A large number of Nepal Police officers in riot gear were seen near Singha Durbar and other key areas. They carried shields and batons and stood in a line to stop the protestors from reaching restricted government zones.

One powerful moment was when an elderly woman, dressed in traditional clothes and holding a Nepali flag, walked in front of the protest. Her presence inspired many.
