Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba addressed the impact of climate change on Nepal, stating that unseasonal disasters like floods and landslides have increased, particularly after September’s rains, when the monsoon had already ended. She emphasized that Nepal, despite not contributing to climate change, has suffered significant losses in lives and property due to the actions of developed countries.

Minister Deuba raised concerns about the drying of water sources, which will affect future generations, and questioned who would compensate Nepal for the damages caused by climate change. She also shared her personal experience of childbirth and her involvement in the Safe Motherhood Campaign, aimed at protecting women's lives.

During the event, Deuba distributed 1,090 blankets to local representatives in municipalities and rural areas, focusing on pregnant women and new mothers.
