4,000 Foreign Tourists Visit Upper Mustang In 2024

Over 4,000 foreign tourists visited Upper Mustang in 2024, marking a 14.2% increase compared to the previous year.

The Annapurna Conservation Area Project's Lomanthang office reported 4,061 visitors, up from 3,484 in 2023, Facility of road and transport, listing Annapurna circuit trek as one of the top 10 tourism destinations of the world, more publicity, operation of luxurious hotels are the reasons behind increasing number of tourists in Upper Mustang. 

In 2022, 3,112 tourists visited the region, while in 2021, the number was just 332.
