Ravi Lamichhane, the president of the Rastriya Swatantra Party(RSP), who was released after 84 days from police custody, has been handed over to the responsibility of his family. After his release from the Kaski District Court, Lamichhane underwent a health check-up at Fishtail Hospital, located near the District Police Office, where the police handed him over to his family's care.
RASP spokesperson Manish Jha confirmed that Lamichhane was handed to his family.
Lamichhane is scheduled to appear at the Kathmandu District Court tomorrow, and the police have stated they will not arrest him.
On Thursday, the bench of District Judge Niti Raj Rai at Kaski District Court issued an order to release Lamichhane after he paid a bail amount of NPR 6.5 million. After providing the bank guarantee for the bail, Lamichhane was released.
