Ishwar Pokhrel Appointed UML Acting Chair

Ishwar Pokhrel, the Senior Vice-Chair of CPN (UML), has been appointed as the Acting Chair of the party. He took over the role while the party's Chair and Prime Minister, KP Sharma Oli, left for a five-day official visit to Thailand. During this trip, Oli will attend the sixth Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral, Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) on April 4. The decision to appoint Pokhrel as the acting chief was made in line with the party's Statute.
