Instruction to Withdraw Two Medicines from the Market Immediately

The Department of Drug Administration has ordered the immediate removal of two medicines, 'Pilpan 40mg' and 'Acetap 40mg,' from the market after they were found to be of low quality. The decision came after samples of these medicines were tested at the National Drug Laboratory, where they failed to meet the required standards.

In a notice, the department urged everyone to avoid recommending, selling, distributing or using these particular medicines with the specified batch numbers. The removal affects all stock of these medicines in the market.

The department has also instructed the manufacturers and their representatives to stop selling these medicines immediately, directing them to return the affected batch and provide the department with details of the removal process. This action is in line with the Drug Act 2035, which allows the department to take necessary steps to ensure the safety and quality of medicines in the market.

The removal aims to protect public health and prevent any harm resulting from substandard products.
