India’s East Bengal Club clinched the maiden SAFF Women’s Club Championship title with a commanding 3–0 victory over Nepal’s APF Club at Dasharath Stadium on Saturday.

East Bengal captain Fazila Equaput led from the front, scoring twice, while Shilkidevi Hanam added one goal to seal the win. Fazila opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, capitalising on a defensive lapse, before Shilkidevi doubled the lead with a headed goal in the 35th minute from a corner. Fazila struck again early in the second half to put the result beyond doubt.

The tournament, organised for the first time by SAFF and held since December 5, featured clubs from five South Asian nations, including teams from Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Bhutan.
