Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has strongly denied any involvement in the recent visit visa scam. Speaking at Friday’s session of the House of Representatives, he claimed that attempts are being made to politically attack him through planned and conspiratorial means.

Lekhak expressed concern over false rumors spreading on social media and in the press, saying there’s no truth to the claims linking him to the case. He clarified that he has no connection to the issue and never could have had any involvement.

He said he’s fully ready to cooperate with the ongoing investigation by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), and if needed, he’s willing to appear before the authorities.

The minister also argued that just because government employees are being investigated doesn’t mean a minister should resign. He called such demands unfair.

Ramesh Lekhak stated:
“The claims that I am involved in the matter being investigated by the CIAA are completely baseless. I want to make it clear to this honorable parliament that I have no role in it and never could have had one. These attacks are clearly politically motivated, and I express my regret over this from this very platform.”

Meanwhile, lawmakers from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) continued their protests in the House. Despite this, Speaker Devraj Ghimire moved the session forward. Both parties are still demanding a parliamentary probe committee to investigate the visit visa case.
