Despite RSP and RPP Obstruction, House Meeting Proceeds Smoothly

The meeting of the House of Representatives continued despite obstruction from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP).

While lawmakers from both parties continued their protest, Speaker Devraj Ghimire proceeded with the scheduled agenda. At the beginning of the session, he gave time to CPN (Maoist Centre) Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey to speak.

As Pandey spoke, RSP and RPP lawmakers pounded on the desks in protest, but he continued with his remarks.

Afterward, RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden was given time to speak. During Lingden’s turn, the RSP did not obstruct the proceedings.
