Continuous rainfall in various parts of Nepal has caused significant disruption to road networks. According to Nepal Police Headquarters, five major highways have been completely blocked, while three others are currently open for one-way traffic only. The obstruction has severely impacted travel and transportation in several provinces.
In Bagmati Province, the Araniko Highway has been blocked at multiple points in Sindhupalchok district, specifically in Bhotekoshi-2 Kodari, Ward-3 Larcha, and Ward-2 Koplad. In Karnali Province, the Bheri Corridor has been obstructed in Tripurasundari Municipality-1 of Dolpa district. Similarly, in Sudurpaschim Province, the Gokuleshwar–Khalanga section of the highway is blocked in Mahakali Municipality-5, Darchula district.
Meanwhile, three key roads affected by the rain have reopened partially, allowing one-way traffic. These include the Jumla–Mugu road in Jumla, the Kaligandaki Corridor in Gulmi, and the Ravi–Rake–Bhedetar road in Dhankuta district. Authorities are working to clear the debris and restore full transportation services. Travelers are advised to stay updated on road conditions and proceed with caution.
