The government has set aside Rs 13.28 billion for the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation in the budget for the upcoming fiscal year. This shows that the government is giving importance to developing tourism and improving air travel in Nepal.

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel shared this information while presenting the budget in a joint session of the Federal Parliament on Thursday.

He said that the government will speed up the construction of Nijgadh International Airport to reduce the heavy passenger load at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The government also plans to improve the operations of other international airports like Pokhara, and upgrade smaller regional airports such as Bhadrapur in Jhapa, Tarigaun in Dang, and Surkhet Airport.

This large budget will help build better airport facilities and services, which will support tourism and make it easier to travel within the country.
