The government has ordered all airports in the country, including Tribhuvan International Airport, to set up breastfeeding and baby care rooms within 24 hours.

The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation (MoCTCA) has told airport authorities to make sure these rooms are clean, safe, and private, and to improve them if needed. It has also asked airports to provide basic medical care for sick passengers and people with special needs.

Airports must keep everything clean according to international standards and maintain a daily cleaning record. They also need to follow health guidelines set by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In addition, the ministry has instructed airports to provide free sanitary pads in women’s toilets.

The ministry has asked officials to carry out these instructions and report their progress. It has also requested passengers and the public to inform the ministry if these facilities are properly implemented.
