Nomination Filing for Deputy Speaker Election Today

Nominations for the election of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives will be registered today. The time for filing nominations has been set from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The official list of candidates will be published at 2:30 PM today. The election for the Deputy Speaker is scheduled for the 27th.

The House of Representatives currently includes Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Nepal Communist Party, Shram Sanskriti Party, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party.

RSP holds a comfortable single-party majority with 182 seats in the House. Nepali Congress has 38 seats, CPN-UML 25, Nepal Communist Party 17, Shram Sanskriti Party 7, and Rastriya Prajatantra Party 5 members.
