Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Ashika Tamang has urged the government to ensure accountability of responsible authorities over delays and poor management in the construction of the Nagdhunga–Muglin road section.

Speaking at the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Tamang stressed the need for a clear timeline to complete the project on time, along with strict monitoring mechanisms. She said that delays, weak management, and lack of coordination have caused daily hardships for the public.

She stated, “Despite being a major lifeline connecting the capital, the Nagdhunga–Muglin road project has been delayed due to poor management and lack of coordination, causing daily suffering for people. I strongly urge the government to ensure a clear work plan, strict monitoring, and accountability of concerned authorities.”

She also raised concerns over unregulated extraction of river materials from rivers like the Trishuli, warning that it is disrupting environmental balance and directly affecting local communities.
