Rs 4.85 million has been released for Gen Z protest victims, with over Rs 1 billion spent on free treatment and families of 53 deceased compensated.

The government has released Rs 4.85 million to cover emergency expenses for those injured during the Gen Z movement, with each victim receiving Rs 20,000. Initial funds have been sent to nine districts, including Kathmandu, Jhapa, and Lalitpur, the Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed.
Designated hospitals have set up Gen Z Clinics for follow-up treatment, providing free transportation and support hotlines. Over Rs 1 billion has already been spent on medical care for the injured.
Families of 53 deceased victims have received Rs 1.5 million each, covering compensation and funeral expenses. The judicial inquiry commission led by former Justice Gauri Bahadur Karki is investigating the violence and losses from the protests.
