Federal Parliament Holds Meetings of Both Chambers

On Friday, both houses of the Federal Parliament will hold sessions.

The House of Representatives will meet at 1 PM. The Speaker will read out details of letters received from the Prime Minister and the Cabinet Secretariat. The Chairperson of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, Ramhari Khatiwada, will present the committee report on the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2082. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Vishnu Prasad Paudel will make a statement and propose starting a general discussion on the annual revenue and expenditure estimates for the fiscal year 2082/083.

At the same time, the National Assembly will meet at 1:15 PM. Ministers from the Ministry of Health and Population and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development will answer oral questions. The Chairperson of the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee, Mayaprasad Sharma, will present a study report on the implementation status of the delegated legislation under the Tribhuvan University Act, 2049.

Additionally, a proposal will be presented to discuss and pass the Constitutional Council (Duties, Powers, and Procedures) (First Amendment) Bill, 2079, along with the report from the Legislative Management Committee.
