EC’s Deadline for Party Registration Ends Today

The deadline for political parties to register for the House of Representatives (HoR) election scheduled for March 5 (Falgun 21) expires today. As per the Election Commission (EC), interested parties must collect their registration certificates by the end of office hours.

EC officials say several new political groups have applied for registration after the election date was announced. So far, 126 parties have been officially recognized, and the number may change once today’s deadline concludes.

The Commission has already published the election schedule, setting Mangsir 1–10 as the nomination period for candidates wishing to contest the HoR polls.

The EC has stated that preparations are underway to ensure a clean, fair, and fear-free election environment.
