The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced plans to generate around Rs 12 crore from ticket sales for the upcoming Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2. The association made the announcement during a press conference on Saturday.

 

The tournament, set to begin on Mangsir 1 (mid-November), is ready to kick off and will be the first NPL season played under floodlights. Ticket prices have been set at Rs 1,000 and 1,500 for the opening day, Rs 1,000 and 2,000 for playoffs and finals, and Rs 500 to 1,000 for regular match days.

 

CAN expects the second edition of the NPL to raise over Rs 35 crore in total revenue. So far, sponsorships have contributed Rs 15.3 crore, participating teams Rs 9 crore, and OTT broadcasting Rs 5.3 crore, leaving ticket sales projected to generate Rs 8–12 crore.

 

The inaugural match on Mangsir 1 will feature Janakpur Bolts facing off against Kathmandu Gorkhaz, starting at 4 pm.
