Dr Kunjang Sherpa has been elected vice-chair of the Nepal Medical Council.
The vote counting was completed on Tuesday. Dr Sherpa won the position by defeating Dr Guru Sharan Sah in the council election.
Eight candidates were also elected as council members. They are Dr Chhabilal Panthi, Dr Sarika Goit, Dr Dipendra Pandey, and Dr Yuvin Kumar Yadav.
In addition, Dr Asmita Pokharel, Dr Samrat Parajuli, Dr Nina Rai, and Dr Rabin Basnet have been elected as members

A total of 11,922 votes were cast in the Nepal Medical Council election.
