Brown University Shooting: 2 Dead, 9 Injured : Suspect Still on the Run

A shooting at Brown University in Rhode Island, USA, has left two people dead and nine others injured.

The injured are in stable condition at the hospital, but Providence Mayor Brett Smiley warned that the number of casualties could still increase.Police say the suspect, a man dressed all in black, is still on the run. He fled on foot.

One person was briefly arrested but later released after authorities confirmed they were not involved.A shelter-in-place order is still in effect for the Brown University area.

Former President Donald Trump said he has been informed about the shooting, which happened at 4:05 p.m. local time (21:05 GMT) on Saturday.
