Education, Science, and Technology Minister Raghujii Pant said that the legacy of Aadikavi Bhanu Bhakta Acharya will live on as long as Nepali people are alive.
Speaking at an event in Kathmandu on Sunday marking the 212th Bhanu Jayanti, he said the main purpose of celebrating Bhanu Jayanti is to preserve and promote the Nepali language and to honor those who create literature in it.
He stated, “As long as we Nepali people exist, as long as Nepal exists, and as long as the Nepali language survives, the importance and history of Bhanu Bhakta will remain.”
Minister Pant also said that remembering Bhanu Bhakta means showing respect to the person who contributed so much to the Nepali language.
He added that while many languages are dying out, there is a challenge to protect and enrich our own language.
