With the March 5 elections nearing, the political landscape is rapidly expanding.
The Election Commission has so far registered 122 political parties, while 28 more are currently completing the final stages of documentation and verification.
In a press briefing on Sunday, the Commission revealed that seven parties have been scrapped during the registration period for failing to meet the required criteria.
The registration call, issued for the upcoming House of Representatives election has drawn strong interest from new political forces. Notably, the parties led by Kulman Ghising, Durga Prasai, and Harka Sampang have formally applied, adding fresh dynamics to the evolving electoral arena.
