11-Year-Old Found Dead Near Mangal Bazaar, Probe Underway

The body of a girl, who had been missing for about 20 days, has been recovered from a water tank in Khapinchhe (near Mangal Bazaar), Lalitpur, police said.

Police identified the girl as Durga Bohora (11), a permanent resident of Bajhang district.

Her body was found in the course of cleaning a water tank at a house after insects started coming out of it, police said, citing people involved in cleaning the tank.

The girl had lived with a woman, identified as her mother, in the rented accommodation for about 25 days.

Police have launched a probe, suspecting a murder.
